These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the WaterMitra website and mobile applications (together, the "Service") operated by WaterMitra ("WaterMitra", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What WaterMitra is
WaterMitra is an on-demand water tanker booking platform that connects customers who need water delivery with independent, verified tanker drivers. Tanker drivers and providers are independent businesses, not employees or agents of WaterMitra. The delivery arrangement for each booking is between you and the tanker provider.
2. Eligibility and accounts
To use the Service you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- Provide accurate account and delivery information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Bookings, pricing, and payment
Through the WaterMitra app you can choose a tanker, select a time slot, and wait for a driver to accept your booking.
- Prices shown before you confirm a booking may vary by tanker size, distance, and demand.
- A booking is confirmed when a tanker driver accepts it in the app.
- Payment methods and any applicable taxes are shown at the time of booking and are processed by our payment provider.
- Any cancellation options available for a booking are shown in the app at the time you book or cancel.
4. Water quality and delivery
Tanker providers are responsible for the water they supply and for complying with applicable water sourcing and transport regulations. Unless expressly stated in the app, water supplied is non-potable utility water. You are responsible for ensuring safe access to your delivery point and for your storage tanks and plumbing.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, threaten, or endanger tanker drivers or WaterMitra staff.
- Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service, or access it by automated means without permission.
- Misuse the platform to abuse providers, submit fraudulent bookings, or circumvent safety controls.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WaterMitra is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through WaterMitra for the booking giving rise to the claim, if any.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for users, providers, or the platform. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
8. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised effective date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you.
